Group Fitness

There has been an explosion in the popularity of group fitness classes over the past few years and it's not hard to see why.

Fitness classes are fun, sociable and you get a great workout under the guidance of a fitness expert.

AquaZone is proud to be at the forefront of group fitness in Warrnambool and we currently offer more classes than any other centre in south west Victoria.

This means we have a greater variety of fitness classes which are on more frequently – so there is a great chance that there is a class you want running at a time that works for you.

Spin Studio

Our purpose built spin studio allows you to cycle indoors, whilst enjoying the beautiful vista of the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens. The studio features modern air conditioning and sound system.

  • 28 Technogym Spin Bikes
  • Technogym unity system which links all the participants’ data and provides an immersive multimedia experience. Members can now join a ride from around the world with all their data recorded on their smartphone, or downloaded onto their Technogym key.

 

 

Group Fitness Studio

Our 170m2 group fitness studio boasts a padded floor and hosts the largest range of  fitness classes in South West Victoria, ranging from high to low impact to suit all fitness levels. The studio features air conditioning, sound system and a range of quality group fitness equipment.
The studio caters for up to 30 participants depending on the class.

 

 

Our Classes

 

Group Cycle

A high-intensity indoor cycling class ideal for burning calories and increasing your fitness levels. Instructors will take you through a variety of tracks from hill climbs to sprints and everything in between. All levels and abilities are catered for as the workout can be adjusted to your fitness level. Group Cycle is a 45 minute class that includes a warm up and cool down. 


LesMills BodyPump

A total body sculpting, high repetition, muscular endurance, fat burning weight based workout using the barbell. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repititions, BodyPump gives you total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories with instructors coaching you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music. You'll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. BodyPump is a 55 minute class. 

LesMills BodyStep

Basic stepping, just like walking up and down the stairs, is at the heart of BodyStep, a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. BodyStep is a fast paced, expolsive step based workout that will leave you wanting more. Instructors lead you through the workout with invigorating and fun music, where you can burn up to 620 calories per workout. 

LesMills BodyBalance

Ideal for anyone and everybody, BodyBalance is a yoga based class that will improve your mind and body. During BodyBalance you will bend and strectch through a series of simple yoga moves while also embracing elements fo Tai-Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is apart of all exercises and instructors will always provide options for beginners to advanced. You'll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centred. BodyBalance is a 55 minute class. 

LesMills BodyAttack

BodyAttack is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push ups and squats. Instructors lead you through this high intensity interval training class which will improve strength and stabilty and burn up to 730 calories. BodyAttack is a 30 minute class that will challenge your limits in a good way, leaving you with a sense of achievement. 

LesMills BodyCombat

BodyCombat combine elements of martial arts, Tai-Chi, Karate, and Kick boxing that will give you a full body workout. It's high-energy and totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. Your instructor will encourage you to make the most of each round, release your stress and have fun. BodyCombat is a 55 minute class. 

LesMills CXWORX

CXWORX is personal training inspired, scientifically based workout that challenges you to build and maintain a better core. All the moves in CXWORX have options, so it's challenging but achievable for all fitness levels. Intructors guide you through the correct technique as you work with the resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches and hovers. You will do some hips, butt and lower back exercises as well. 

CB45 - Cycling&Boxing 45 

A high intensity mix of boxing and cycling. 20 minutes of high intenisity group cycle, including hill climbs, sprints and jumps followed by 20 minutes of boxing in the Boxing Studio. CB45 is a 45 minute class.

BoxFit

BoxFit is a boxing class that takes place in the new AquaZone Boxing studio. BoxFit is high intensity class where you can bust a move with the mits and gloves. Suitable for all fitness levels, BoxFit will get your heart pumping and leave you feeling energised.

HIIT

Hiit is a high intensity 30 minute class that is based around body weight exercises. Instructors will lead you through a series of interval based exercises that will challange you and improve fitness and give you ultimate results in a fast and effctive way. 

AquaFit

A moderate to high intensity class that is low impact and based in our 25m Indoor Pool. This class is perfect for building strength and fitness. AquaFit is a 45 minute class. 

AquaLite

AquaLite is a low to moderate intensity class based in the Indoor Pool. Learn a variety of aquatic based exercises in a fun, sociable environment. AquaLite is suitable to all levels of fitness. 

AquaRun

AquaRun is deep water running workout. Deep water runnning is a full body workout and perfect for building fitness and burning calories. Burning up to 600 calories in the 45 minute class, AquaRun is sure to get your heart pumping. 

AquaZumba

Known as the party in the pool, AquaZumba combines elements of Zumba to create a fun and exhilirating workout in the water. 

Pulse

Pulse is a low impact land based class that is perfect for building flexibility, strength and maintaining health. Pulse is a fun, sociable class that gets you moving.
