Group Fitness

AquaZone is proud to be at the forefront of group fitness in Warrnambool and we currently offer more classes than any other centre in south west Victoria.

This means we have a greater variety of fitness classes which are on more frequently – so there is a great chance that there is a class you want running at a time that works for you.

All instructors are qualified and experienced in the disciplines they deliver, with an aim to provide classes that meet the goals of participants. 

Participants under the age of 13 will not be permitted entry to Group Fitness Classes.

Participants aged 13-16 years old must have a parental/guardian consent prior to attending a session at AquaZone.

Additionally, participants aged 13 -  years old in the gym must have an individual assessment and have a personalised program as prescribed by our qualified instructors before visiting our Aquazone Gymnasium on their own.

Our Classes

Held in a dedicated studio, this is a fun exciting class that can have you burning up to 600 calories an hour. There is opportunity to join an instructed class or make use of a virtual training session. 

BODYPUMP, a total body workout that will burn calories, shape and tone your entire body, increase core strength and improve bone health. World leading Instructors will coach you through the scientifically-backed moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! 

In a BODYSTEP workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push-ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, there’s heaps of options so that everyone leaves feeling successful.

You can expect to bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves, elements of Tai Chi and Pilates while an inspiring soundtrack plays in the background. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started.

Step into a BODYCOMBAT® workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 570 calories** along the way. This high-energy martial arts-inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. A LES MILLS™ Instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

Inspired by elite athletic training principles, LES MILLS CORE is a scientific core workout for incredible core tone and sports performance. You build strength, stability and endurance in the muscles that support your core, improve balance, assist injury prevention, and become better at everything you do.


A moderate to high intensity, low impact water based class. This class is perfect for building strength and fitness.


Learn a variety of aquatic low impact exercises within a fun, enjoyable and social environment. Suits all fitness levels.

Rapid Fit

A high intensity interval training circuit style class with a combination of strength and cardiovascular exercises. This is great for focusing on functional fitness with classes only being 30 minutes in duration.  

General Exercise Class (GEC)

These classes are suitable for individuals with chronic health conditions, who have clearance from their health practitioner to undertake exercise. Perfect for those that would like to train in a social setting reaping long term health benefits. Classes work on improving flexibility, strength, coordination and balance, through the use of small weights and exercise bands.

TechnoGym’s Stream is our virtual training option in our Group Fitness Studio. Stream has a variety of different training options including, Bootcamp, Boxing/kickboxing, Circuit Training, Function, Maternity, Mediation/Yoga, Metcon (metabolic Condition), Pilates, Stretching & Strength. With classes ranging anywhere between 5 – 40 minutes in duration. Stream has an on demand option and a class can started up at any time, this is great for people that cannot make our timetabled instructed classes or want to incorporate this into their gym workouts.

Group Fitness Timetable
